| The Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, located in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E., is a private, not-for-profit, independent, graduate-level, research-driven institute developed with the support and cooperation of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). The goal of the Institute is to develop, over a period of years, indigenous R&D capacity in Abu Dhabi, addressing issues of importance to the region in critical areas such as renewable energy, sustainability, environment, water resources and microelectronics. Starting fall 2009, the Institute has begun offering graduate degree programs in science and engineering disciplines with a focus on advanced energy and sustainable technologies (www.masdar.ac.ae and http://web.mit.edu/mit-tdp/www/). |

| Faculty Positions |

The Engineering Systems and Management Program at Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, invites applications for positions at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor levels.
The search is open to candidates with the following expertise: product design and development/industrial engineering, operations management (manufacturing, technology innovation) and industrial economics (industrial organization, technology policy, economic development), system engineering and system architecture.
Those applying for these positions should have the desire to excel, both in teaching and research, in an interdisciplinary work environment. Applicants should have: (a) Ph.D. degree related to their field, (b) the ability to teach at the graduate level, (c) the ability to supervise graduate students, and (d) a willingness to develop an active program of research with funding from academic and industrial entities.

Initial screening of applications will begin immediately and the positions will remain open until filled.
