Lyon Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Bridge Maintenance and Management Engineer with international project experience. Responsibilities would entail leadership of investigation teams of local in-country staff for scope of work related to the development of a National Bridge Maintenance Management System. Project Inception Report Development of Bridge Maintenance Management System; provision for a Load Rating component Bridge Inventory/Condition Survey Report Bridge Maintenance Standards and Bridge Maintenance Manual Evaluate and recommend Bridge Database Updating System Establish bridge maintenance and rehabilitation needs system In-country training for bridge engineers in the road agency office and field staff Monitoring and Evaluation of the newly adopted BMMS utilization The assignment is expected to require 13 - 15 man months with an expected start date of Spring, 2010. Requirements and qualification of candidates include: Bachelor in Civil or Structural Engineering (Masters and/or Ph.D. a plus) Fifteen (15) years or more of progressive responsibility and experience International project experience, preferably for national or international funding agency funded projects Expertise and proven track record in Bridge Maintenance Management Systems Excellent communication skills with preference for past training or capacity development experience Ability to work in multi cultural setting and travel internationally Geographical experience and/or knowledge of South Asia a plus
