JOB SUMMARY: Doyon Government Group is seeking an experienced Corporate Business Development Manager to develop work with-in the Federal Government with agencies such as the DOD & DOT. The incumbent will develop work for disciplines that support federal programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: •Maintain annual reports •Competently analyze Business Proposals •Uncover and create new business opportunities through independent prospecting including cold-calling, direct mail campaigns etc. •Demonstrate leadership ability and a teamwork orientation by successfully leading remote and local teams in high-pressure RFP responses and prospective client presentations •Cultivate and maintain relations with complementary channel partners including to develop and drive new business opportunities. Work with the partner network to develop joint business plans, value propositions and marketing programs •Maintain a working knowledge of all services offered by DGG in order to match prospect needs with DGG solutions •Represent the company at networking functions, meetings and other industry-related events •Other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: •Ability to cultivate trust and credibility with peers and maintain strong working relationships at all levels of DGG’s organization •Able to find effective marketing and prospecting programs to increase awareness of DGG among possible partners •Disciplined self-starter with the ability to prioritize and work with minimal supervision •Excellent oral and written communication, persuasion, diplomatic and interpersonal skills •Ability to complete due diligence requirements on prospective business partners •An ability to work in a setting where ''many hats'' must be worn and decisions need to be made quickly sometimes with minimal management direction •Hard driving, "Close the Deal" attitude will be paramount but must be balanced with flexibility, patience and adaptability •Ability to articulate and sell DGG’s service to potential partners •Team player with strong work ethic •Results-oriented, flexible, patient, adaptable and resourceful •Exceptional researching skills
QUALIFICATIONS: •Bachelor’s degree in Business or other related field desired. •Business Development with federal contracting experience required •2 years working in an independent setting with minimal supervision. •Experience with Microsoft Office.
